@ sowhatnow:
It's amazing how simple the truth is.
here in matthew chapter 19 jesus tells a man the commandments he has to do to gain life... which apparently did not include partaking of his flesh and blood.
so this means that this man could have everlasting life and not partake of the emblems.
they knew not of them.

the whole meeting for me was nauseating yesterday... the talk was on "science".. nuff said... then the watchtower, they are just spinning in circles patting themselves on the back lately it seems, but this is one thing that really stuck out to me.. i heard the comment multiple times about how the 2013 version of nwt made things "easier to understand" "simpler" and so on.
this has been one of my main beefs with yhwh and his book.
this is supposedly the tool for mankind to all live or die based on whether or not they:.
so last night they played the convention cartoon.
there were a few laughs from the audience, overall though people seemed a little taken aback and tight lipped.
like no one gushed about it afterwards, no applause, just like it was nothing new at all.

Are you serious?!

I guess I will see the cartoon tomorrow. I would agree that things have gotten really odd lately.
I mean, cartoons? at the hall? really??
so today's wt seems to put out the idea that during early christian times it was god's hand that made the romans build roads, have strong laws, etc.
to make the preaching easier.. anyone else notice that?
some here really banged on about how great it was that god did that, just for them.
@ Vidiot:
The WTS has raised "having their cake and eating it too" to a f**king art form.
You're right about that!

I was at the meeting yesterday and I thought to myself: "They are talking out of both sides of their mouth. On one hand, they say how the Pax Romana benefited the preaching work and how the Romans provided relative stability. On the other hand, they would say how evil the Roman Empire was and how they persecuted and killed Christians."
You can't have it both ways.
hey guys n gals, sorry its been such a long time since i've posted.
lately i've been very busy balancing between my school work and cult activities.
since i've been doing pretty well "spiritually"(enough field-circus hours, attending meetings, underlining my literatrash, reading, praying and serving as the mic-master) my coordinator grabbed me to the side after a meeting and talked to me for twenty minutes straight congratulating me about how good i am doing.. then he paused for a good five seconds and got all serious.. then he proceeded to tell me that the young ones in the hall aren't doing too well.
@ Yondaime:
So are you being asked to be a servant?
me ?
my after meeting ritual, is getting my suit off, and a beer in my hand....in less than 2 minutes from entering my door.
so what are the signs that indicate that people are in a "toxic relationship"?.
particularly in relation to those stuck in the org still..... .
@ Giordano:
1. Check
2. Check
3. Check
4. Check
5. Check
It's funny how my relationship with my wife turned toxic after learning TTATT.
so took the wives car instead of mine in today, the watchtower was playing, i got to hear t.morris life story as narrated by him, but that is another story entirely... long story short, the study article it went into was about satan.
first of all the person reading sounded like the epitome of a brainwashed drone.
second this is why meeting and hearing these things make me more of an unbeliever than any exjw website.
@ Just Kidding:
That was perfect.
